COVID Testing for Non-student Partners and Spouses Living in Residence in RD&E-assigned Housing
Non-student partners and spouses currently living in residence in housing assigned by Stanford RD&E are now eligible to participate in the COVID testing process available through the University and provided by Color Genomics. The non-student partner or spouse must be included on the Stanford contract. Resident children under the age of 18 are not eligible for the COVID Color testing and it is recommended that parents reach out to their children's primary care physician for information on testing. If you have already completed the form to request non-student partner or spouse COVID testing, you do not need to re-submit a form.
If you would like to enroll your resident non-student parter or spouse in COVID testing, please complete the COVID-19 Spouse/Partner Referral Form (Stanford students must complete the form using their stanford.edu email). Please be certain that you are signed in with your stanford.edu account on google docs. A confirmation email with instructions on enrolling and participating in the Color Genomics Program will be sent to your spouse or partner by Monday of the following week. Forms submitted by 4:00 pm on Thursday of each week will enable the non-student spouse or partner to pick up tests beginning on the following Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday). Your partner or spouse should be prepared to show that confirmation email (printed or electronic) at the test pick-up site for the initial test kits along with their Stanford Courtesy Card or another photo ID. They will need to bring a photo ID each time they pick up test kits.
About the surveillance test and what to expect: Stanford has engaged Color Genomics, a technology company specializing in population health management, to supply nasal-swab testing kits for self-collection and to administer the clinical lab testing on each kit submitted. Your privacy is important; you must opt-in and register for the surveillance testing program and acknowledge that test results and some personal information will be shared with Color, a third party healthcare service provider, Graduate Life Office, Occupational Health Center, and appropriate public health authorities.
